Why do you charge for Mahrams?

Where does the money go? This is split into many things, most of it goes towards our venues and Most of the money is used on market research and development, simply because we want to bring in new brothers and sisters that have never turned up to these events and are looking for marriage. We are also a charity giving organisation and some of our proceeds will be used towards Muslim Global Relief.
Do you do any background checks of participants? Due to lack of resources we are unable to do a full background check, when a participant makes a booking, he or she is asked to fill a quick profile form to see their intentions, if the profile doesn’t suit the event we have the right to refuse service, and they will be refunded their money back. We rely on our customers to be fully honest, as only Allah knows their intentions. This is an exercise for the participant and their friends and family to carry out reference checking. Maybe later inshallah we will try to get more information.
How do you know they are serious? Our website is empathised on how serious we are to getting people who are looking to get married. We also have the right to refuse service.
If I wear a Niqab, do I have to remove it? No
Can I exchange my contact details with a participant? Yes after the ice breaking/ small talk session you will have the chance to have a 1-one-1 meeting. If you don’t get a chance to meet an individual person. You can email us the persons badge number. More of this will be explained on the day.
Can I come to observe only? No. Our website is self-explanatory on what happens on the day.
I don’t think I’m a full practising person, can I still come? Yes. Not everyone on these events are full practicing, as long you have respect for other people and have good intentions in your heart, then you more than welcome.
I was interested in someone but didn’t speak to that person, Can you do a follow-up? Yes, of course, we are not here too just take your money and leave you, we will try to help you find your match inshallah.
How much is a follow up? We are not going to charge for any follow ups as long as you’re not wasting time and you are serious.
Do you do Memberships? No. Our duty here is to find you a partner, most of the people we book in are suited for each other, there shouldn’t be any reason why you can’t get engaged to someone, you find suitable. As we said we are not here to just take your money. We are doing this to help you get married. And inshallah our business will come from your recommendation.
I didn’t find anyone suitable if I came again would there be the same people? We have records of people who have attended before. If the numbers of our repetitive customers are starting to rise, we will put a block on their profile and explain to them the situation. Our advice to you is to use different locations. Our market strategy is completely different to any others, People from different cities come to these events, our spaces are low, and inshallah we will try to market to those people from different cities and companies. What does the team do when you are not holding these events? Our main organisers are doing this as career now, while the events are not being held, we are catching up on follow ups, and giving free consultations. So we are acting as a Marriage bureau free of charge, now that’s when you know you’re getting your money’s worth
